PCSLA Receives Major Grant from the Specialty Family Foundation

We are thrilled to announce that PCSLA has been awarded a generous $210,000 grant from the Specialty Family Foundation, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to our mission.
“The grant will enable PCSLA to continue our successful Faith-Based Project, including providing additional parent support groups and enabling more families to access services where they feel safest—at their child’s school or their family’s place of worship, expressed Executive Director, Liza Bray. “The Speciality Family Foundation was instrumental in launching our Faith-Based Program, and their support continues to play an essential role.”

The Specialty Family Foundation’s grant will also:

  • Advance our exploration of transitional housing options in collaboration with our housing provider partners.
  • Support our upcoming strategic planning process, aimed at developing a replication model for our innovative System of Care.
  • Help us serve more African American families through innovative outreach strategies and culturally relevant programs.

The generous support from the Specialty Family Foundation marks an exciting new chapter for PCSLA, empowering us to uplift even more families and build stronger, more resilient communities for years to come.

Partners for Children South L.A. (PCSLA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve access to high-quality healthcare, early education, and family supports for the youngest and most vulnerable children in South Los Angeles. PCSLA has pioneered a nationally recognized Early Childhood System of Care that involves 40+ health and human services organizations that partner to provide links to services and cross-agency care coordination for children from birth through 5 years and their families. Since 2013, PCSLA has served more than 10,000 individuals in some of Los Angeles’s most systemically underserved communities.
