September 9, 2024 – Partners for Children South LA (PCSLA) is proud to announce a $900,000 grant from the Ballmer Group to spearhead a new effort to engage more South Los Angeles African-American families in services.
Over the next three years, PCSLA will collaborate with community members with lived experience to develop and implement innovative outreach strategies. The goal is to connect more African-American children and families with essential, culturally appropriate services and programs, aiming to more than double the current impact with this high-need population.
In addition, this funding will support PCSLA’s strategic planning to create a multi-year growth strategy, which includes replicating its successful model in other Los Angeles County communities.
“We are focusing on key success criteria for replicating our model, including scope, scale, quality, fidelity, and sustainability,” stated PCSLA’s Executive Director, Liza Bray. “We look forward to taking these next steps as we continue our pioneering work in South LA.”
