Born in Compton and raised in South Los Angeles, Margarita is deeply committed to helping her community. She served as a care coordinator for PCSLA at St. John’s and wanted to do more.

Margarita knows first-hand what it is like to be a young single mom experiencing unemployment and food/housing insecurity. Her ability to relate to others struggling to provide for themselves and their children, combined with her innate positivity, inspires Margarita to go above and beyond to help those in need.
